This achievement is part of the division s strategy to support digital transformation and achieve a higher level of organization within institutions. The division confirmed that the electronic fingerprint system is one of the pioneering projects that help elevate work performance and improve the work environment using advanced technological solutions.

The training course titled "Installation and Operation of Solar-Powered Water Systems" was inaugurated for the employees of the Babil Agriculture Department at the University of Al-Mustaqbal

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and as part of the efforts exerted by Al-Mustaqbal University to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the university has been adopting clear strategies for several years aimed at achieving these goals by 2030. In this context, the university has raised the slogan, “Al-Mustaqbal University… Towards a Sustainable University,” and has implemented a series of sustainable projects in the fields of clean energy, sustainable agriculture, and water, alongside research and awareness programs targeting all segments of society, focusing on achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. In support of the environment and renewable energy, the first training course organized by the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research, in collaboration with the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, was held on Sunday, 22/9/2024. The course began with a lecture presented by Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, in which he discussed the basic principles of designing and operating solar-powered water pumping systems. The lecture covered several detailed steps, including: Determining the required daily water quantity. Calculating the total elevation required for water pumping. Studying and evaluating solar radiation data. Calculating the pumping rate based on solar peak hours. Selecting the appropriate pump according to the system's requirements. Choosing a motor that matches the pump's speed and torque characteristics. Identifying the optimal system for operating the pump. Selecting the essential components for the solar system. Choosing the most suitable solar modules for the system. A group of employees from the Babil Agriculture Department and Agricultural Extension Directorates in the province participated in the course. The participants praised the course, highlighting its importance in enhancing their technical and practical skills. They also emphasized the necessity of adopting modern solar-powered irrigation systems in Babil due to their positive effects in reducing pollution and addressing water scarcity. The importance of effective water management in improving the quality and efficiency of agricultural production was also discussed. This course is part of the Energy Transitions Project in universities, which aims to promote the use of renewable energy through various pillars, including training and development, supporting small projects, innovation, scientific research, and entrepreneurship, all contributing to sustainable development
