On the Occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities & Special Needs, Student Activities Department, Unit of Disabilities & Special Needs at Al-Mustaqbal University has organized Al-Mustaqbal First Annual Festival for People of Determination 2023 under the Slogan "I can & you can".
It is remarkable to note that the Festival has been attended by Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and Assist Prof Dr. Munthir Fadhil Hassan, the President Assistant for Administrative Affairs, with a Large Gathering of Guests, Administrative as well as Teaching Staff, and many Artistic & Cultural Personnel.
The Festival has included lots of divergent activities, including a Bazaar, Painting & Photo Exhibition, Success Stories narrated by People of Determination in Iraq, in addition to other Initiatives, displaying their participation in the Fields of Art, Culture, Knowledge, Sports, Inventions, and other Achievements.
However, the Festival has aimed to highlight the capabilities that People of Determination do own, being an essential part of our community, and it is quite vital that we should integrate them into Society, and thus benefiting from their abilities in all Fields & Specializations.
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Hasan Shakir, Head of Student Activities Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, has confirmed that the Festival shall be organized annually as part of the University Vision, which focuses on Supporting Persons with Disabilities & Special Needs, and meeting all what they require so that they become Active Members within their Society, exploiting their abilities in all Fields of Innovation.
It is remarkable to note that the Festival shall proceed on Monday with its various Activities as stated above, in addition to Artistic Performances played by Watar Band under the Leadership of the Artist Mr. Ahmed Al-Usta in the Gardens of Al-Mustaqbal University.
