Message From the Dean
Since the establishment of Al-Mustaqbal University College (MUC), the administration as well as its staff had focused on making MUC a key influencer in the community both locally and regionally. The sustainable development goals initiated by the United Nations in 2015 were designed to tackle most of the problems that we face both as a society and as a country. We considered these sustainable goals as challenges to prove that we can put our positive mark on our society locally and regionally.
Numerous actions and initiatives were conducted by both our staff and students to achieve these sustainable goals. These initiatives ranged from voluntary campaigns, awareness campaigns and donations to prove that we are determined to have that positive impact we seek. In addition to these initiatives, we have embarked upon implementing large scale projects to achieve the sustainable development goals in our local community in Babylon province.
Also, we focused on research that focuses on sustainability such as, research on health, green energy, water, and other SDGs.
In our pursuit of excellence, we achieved the 1st rank among the private Iraqi higher educational institutes in the Iraqi University Rankings (IRU) for the year 2021-2022. In addition, we achieved the 156th position in the year 2022 in the UI GreenMetric ranking. In addition, we achieved the 1st rank among the private educational institution in Iraq in the Times Impact Ranking for the year 2022. Adding to these successes, Al-Mustaqbal University College achieved three stars in the QS stars university ranking.
This edition of the sustainability report highlights the various initiatives and activities that our college has conducted in achieving the UN’s Sustainability Development Goals in the year 2021-2022.
