Al-Mustaqbal University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning / Department of Human Development, organizes a scientific symposium entitled Education and Population Policies: Promising Opportunities to Enhance Human Capital in Iraq on Wednesday, 22/11/2023. The workshop has witnessed the attendance of Dr. Maha Abdul Karim Al-Rawi, Director of the Department of Human Development, several participating professors, researchers and guests from the Ministry of Planning and the universities of Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriya and Kufa. And representatives of the province of Babylon, and the symposium included two sessions, the first session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohsen Abd Ali Al-Furaiji / consultant of Al-Mustaqbal University, and dealt with four key topics submitted by participants and researchers from the Ministry of Planning and universities referred , where the first research theme included teaching and learning in the national document for population policy in Iraq submitted by Dr. Maha Abdul Karim Al-Rawi; Director of the Department of Human Development in the Ministry of Planning, The other three researches were contributed by professors and researchers from the participating universities (Baghdad, Mustansiriya and Kufa) and focused on the relationship between population, education, population opportunities, investment in human capital and its role in achieving the goals of comprehensive and sustainable development. The second session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Essam Al-Jubouri, Director of the Cultural Relations Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University, in which three research themes were presented that dealt with the challenges facing the education sector, ways of reform, the impact of population increase on sustainable development, as well as the role of private education in achieving sustainable development goals.
