Under the Guardianship of His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, Al–Mustaqbal University hosted the First International Youth Scout Forum on Monday 4th March 2024 under the Slogan "University Scout Youth & Volunteer Work between Empowerment and Possibility" As a matter of fact, this Forum has been considered the first of its kind in Iraq, being organized by Student Activities Department at the Scientific Supervision & Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to Iraq Scouts Association. We should note however that more than 64 Universities have participated in the Forum, whereas the number of participants has amounted to 160, with Five Academics and a Professor representing Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. We should keep in mind as well that the Forum has been attended by Prof Dr. Thaer Rasheed Matar, the Chairman of the University Scouts Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, in addition to the Representatives of Student Activities Department. As for Assist Prof Dr. Munthir Fadhil Hassan the President Assistant for Administrative Affairs has warmly welcomed in his Speech the University Guests and Participants, conveying the greetings of the University President to them all. Al-Mustaqbal University, and as part of its vision to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, has effectively raised the Slogan "Towards a Sustainable University", and has implemented indeed many Pioneering & Distinguished Events that have led the University to occupy First Place among Private Colleges & Universities, and still moving ahead towards brighter future. There is no doubt at all that we are achieving in fact SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by hosting and participating in organizing this Forum. For his part, Mr. Ahmed Hasan Shakir, Director of Student Activities Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, has emphasized the importance of the First International Youth Scout Forum, as it constitutes an opportunity to enhance Cultural Communication and exchanging experiences among young people of different countries. Besides, the Event also highlights the importance of building Team Spirit and promoting the Values of Scouting at an International Level. We do encourage Students to actively participate and invest this opportunity in expanding their cultural horizons and developing their Leadership Skills.
