Under the Guardianship of His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, being directly supervised by Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in presence of Prof Dr. Haidar Abid Dhahad, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Affairs, the Activities of the National Green Education Conference were launched on Tuesday 20th February 2024. It is remarkable to note the Opening Ceremony of the Conference has been attended by Prof Dr. Ahmed Al-Jaafari, Assistant Head of the Supervision & Evaluation Authority. Prof Dr. Asmaa Ashour, Chairman of the Federal Service Council, in addition to a number of Presidents and Deans of Public as well as Private Colleges and Universities, all along with a Delegation representing the Malaysian USM University. The Conference however has included a variety of Scientific Outputs conducted by the participating Colleges and Universities, and thus, shedding light on successful initiatives in Green Education. It is worth noting that the Conference Events have been organized in line with Al-Mustaqbal University Pioneering Vision, which focuses on promoting the Values of Sustainability and Positive Interaction with the Environmental Challenges. There is no doubt that the Conference has provided a Platform for Participants to exchange ideas and experiences about the latest developments in the field of green education as well as the Role of Universities in stimulating Environmental Awareness and Sustainable Development that would enhance the role of education in creating a more Sustainable Future. Accordingly, Al-Mustaqbal University looks forward to achieving a qualitative leap in understanding and applying the Principles of Green Education for the benefit of our Society and Surrounding Environment.
