Professor Hassan Shaker Magdy, President of AL-Mustaqbal University, continued his participation in the AI for Good Global Summit, held in Geneva, Switzerland, at the Palexpo Center. The third and final day of the summit featured advanced discussions focused on translating artificial intelligence technologies from the development phase to practical application across various vital sectors.
The university president attended a series of scientific sessions and specialized workshops that addressed the latest technological solutions for AI applications in public services, industry, and smart transportation. These sessions also included presentations on smart city models based on agentic AI systems, Citiverse technologies for integrating the digital and physical worlds, and innovations related to smart vehicles and future transportation networks.
The event also included attendance at the closing sessions of the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) Kaleidoscope Conference, which discussed the future of digital infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence (AI), including 5G and 6G networks designed to support AI-native applications, as well as the latest developments in digital sovereignty and quantum computing networks.
In a related context, the university president attended the "AI for the Global Majority" session, which focused on developing applications that consider the cultural and economic specificities of developing countries, thereby contributing to expanding the use of AI technologies globally.
The final day's events concluded with the final round of the "Innovation Factory" program, which showcased a range of pioneering startup projects aimed at providing innovative solutions that support the Sustainable Development Goals and contribute to improving public services.
Professor Hassan Shaker Magdy emphasized that the summit's focus on the practical applications of artificial intelligence aligns with Future University's vision of transforming research outputs into tangible projects with societal impact. He noted that the university seeks to leverage the latest global experiences in smart cities, digital infrastructure, and responsible artificial intelligence, integrating them into its academic programs and research plans to enhance its standing among leading universities regionally and internationally.
