As part of its scientific and awareness-raising activities, the Department of Dental Technology at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Future University, organized an educational seminar entitled: “Rare Diseases.” The seminar addressed the definition of rare diseases, their causes, and their most prominent types, in addition to the health and psychological challenges faced by those affected, methods of early diagnosis, and ways to manage them. The seminar also highlighted the importance of raising community awareness about these diseases and supporting patients and their families, as well as the role of health and educational institutions in promoting a health and humanitarian culture regarding rare conditions. The seminar aimed to raise the level of health awareness among students and enhance their sense of social responsibility by highlighting the importance of psychological and medical support for those affected by rare diseases and encouraging scientific research in this field. The seminar witnessed remarkable interaction from the attendees due to the scientific and humanitarian information it contained, which contributes to increasing health and community awareness among students.
