Awareness Campaign Entitled: “Water Consumption Rationalization”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Science, organized an awareness campaign entitled “Water Consumption Rationalization” on Wednesday, May 16, 2026, with active participation from faculty members and students within the university campus. The campaign was conducted in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 related to Quality Education. The campaign was supervised and organized by the Women’s Affairs Unit representatives: Assistant Lecturer Najat Hamid Jassim, Programmer Aya Jamal Hadi, and Programmer Huda Khudair Hani. It aimed to promote environmental awareness and highlight the importance of preserving water resources and ensuring their optimal use amid increasing environmental challenges. The campaign included a variety of awareness activities targeting both students and faculty members. These activities provided guidance on effective methods for reducing water waste in educational and domestic environments, in addition to distributing educational materials and conducting discussions on the importance of adopting responsible consumption practices. The organizers emphasized that rationalizing water consumption represents one of the fundamental pillars of achieving sustainable development, particularly with regard to preserving natural resources and ensuring their sustainability. They also stressed the importance of promoting environmental awareness and strengthening social responsibility within the university community. The campaign witnessed positive engagement from both students and faculty members, reflecting the growing level of environmental awareness within the academic community and its readiness to support initiatives aimed at protecting the environment and ensuring the sustainability of resources for future generations. Al-Mustaqbal University, recognized as the leading private university in Iraq, continues its commitment to promoting the principles of sustainability and community development through impactful educational and awareness initiatives.

An awareness campaign entitled: “Breast Cancer Prevention and Early Detection.”

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, organized an awareness campaign entitled “Breast Cancer Prevention and Early Detection” on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. The initiative was led by Ms. Fatima Habib Mohi and Ms. Zahraa Haider Kadhim. This campaign was conducted within the framework of the 2026 Executive Plan of the Iraqi National Strategy for Women, specifically under the Protection and Prevention Pillar, and in accordance with Paragraph (5), which focuses on organizing awareness seminars and lectures addressing the challenges faced by women and proposing appropriate solutions. The campaign aimed to enhance health awareness within the university community, particularly regarding breast cancer, by emphasizing the importance of prevention and early detection as key measures for reducing the risks associated with the disease. The activity included the presentation of educational posters illustrating the main methods of prevention, techniques for early screening, as well as an overview of the disease, its symptoms, and essential health guidelines for continuous prevention. This initiative forms part of the ongoing efforts of Al-Mustaqbal University to support health awareness programs and promote a culture of prevention, contributing to women’s health empowerment and reinforcing its role in serving the community and fostering a responsible and informed academic environment. #Ranked_first_among_private_universities_in_Iraq

An art exhibition entitled “Student Photography and Drawing Exhibition”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the College of Pharmacy organized an art exhibition entitled “Student Photography and Drawing Exhibition” on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Nadhima Bahaa Watout and with the participation of a group of talented female students. This activity was conducted within the framework of the 2026 Executive Plan of the Iraqi National Strategy for Women, specifically under the second pillar concerned with the economic development of Iraqi women, and in line with paragraph (2) related to supporting creative initiatives and small-scale projects. The exhibition aimed to showcase the artistic talents of female students through a diverse display of works in drawing and photography. The exhibited pieces included three-dimensional (3D) artworks, handcrafted items using materials such as carpet fragments and recycled newspapers, as well as artworks created with colors and pencil techniques, often combined in innovative ways that reflect creativity and sustainability in the use of available materials. Furthermore, the exhibition sought to highlight students’ creativity, develop their artistic skills, and encourage free artistic expression and innovation. It also contributed to enhancing students’ self-confidence, strengthening their visual communication abilities, and opening future opportunities for investing in their artistic talents, thereby supporting the role of women in society and promoting their contribution to sustainable development. #Ranked_first_among_private_universities_in_Iraq

An activity entitled “Less Energy… Higher Efficiency”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Department of Radiological Techniques, organized an activity entitled “Less Energy… Higher Efficiency” on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The activity was delivered by Ms. Riam Raad from the Department of Radiological Techniques. The activity addressed the importance of the responsible use of energy and its role in preserving natural resources and reducing negative environmental impacts. It also presented a range of daily practices that contribute to improving energy efficiency within classrooms and laboratories, such as regulating the use of electrical devices and minimizing unnecessary consumption. Furthermore, the activity highlighted the role of educational institutions in promoting sustainability concepts among students and encouraging them to adopt responsible behaviors that reduce energy consumption and ensure the optimal use of available resources. It emphasized that adherence to proper energy-use practices is a fundamental step toward building a more sustainable educational environment. The activity aimed to enhance students’ awareness of the importance of energy efficiency, strengthen their sense of environmental responsibility, and promote a culture of rational consumption in line with the requirements of sustainable development. This initiative comes as part of the department’s continuous efforts to support environmental and awareness-raising programs and to strengthen the role of the academic community in preserving natural resources and building a more sustainable future. Awareness Event Entitled: “The Foundation of the Individual and Building Society”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Division, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Department of Radiological Techniques organized an awareness event entitled “The Foundation of the Individual and Building Society” on Tuesday, April 13, 2026. The event was delivered by Ms. Marwa Atta Allah from the Department of Radiological Techniques. The event highlighted the importance of developing individual capacities as a fundamental pillar for societal progress, emphasizing the role of the family and educational institutions in promoting positive educational and behavioral values. It also addressed the importance of building a balanced personality equipped with adequate knowledge and awareness to actively contribute to societal development and advancement across various fields. Furthermore, the event emphasized the significance of cultural and educational development of individuals, given its direct impact on strengthening a sense of belonging and cooperation among members of society. It also encouraged students to assume responsibility and actively participate in activities that serve the community. The event aimed to reinforce the concept that true investment begins with building an aware individual capable of facing challenges and contributing to the development of a progressive, knowledge-based society. This activity is part of a series of events organized by the department to support education and sustainable development concepts and to raise students’ awareness of their essential role in building society. Awareness Campaign Entitled: “Life Without Drugs”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Fine Arts, and in collaboration with the Women’s Committee and students of the college, organized an awareness campaign entitled “Life Without Drugs” on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The campaign aimed to enhance community awareness of the importance of preventing drug abuse and addressing its negative impacts on individuals and society. It also sought to present practical perspectives and strategies that contribute to reducing the spread of this phenomenon, while emphasizing the active role of women in promoting awareness, prevention, and building a healthy and safe society. In addition, the campaign encouraged community participation in efforts to combat drugs, thereby supporting stability and contributing to a sustainable future. This initiative aligns with the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security, particularly the pillar of prevention and protection, and supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. It contributes to Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by reducing addiction and related health issues and promoting both mental and physical health. It also supports Goal 4 (Quality Education) by disseminating awareness and knowledge among students and society regarding the dangers of drugs and methods of prevention. Furthermore, the campaign contributes to Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by reducing drug-related crime and promoting safe and stable communities, as well as Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by minimizing social problems resulting from substance abuse and fostering healthier and safer local environments. The event also emphasized that sustainability is not limited to environmental aspects but extends to human and societal sustainability through building health awareness and positive behavior that contribute to comprehensive sustainable development. Empowering Women through Digital Payments for Financial Independence and Security

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Arts and Humanities, organized an awareness campaign entitled “Empowering Women through Electronic Payment: A Step Toward Financial Independence and Digital Security” on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The campaign was presented and supervised by Assistant Lecturer Russul Nima Kamal, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College. The campaign aimed to enhance women’s awareness of the importance of adopting electronic payment methods in their daily lives, given their convenience and security in conducting financial transactions. It also sought to promote women’s economic empowerment by enabling them to manage their finances more independently and efficiently. Furthermore, the campaign emphasized reducing reliance on cash, thereby minimizing the risks associated with carrying or losing it. In addition, the campaign introduced modern financial technologies and their effective and confident use, while supporting the principles of financial inclusion and integrating women into the digital banking system. It also highlighted the importance of promoting digital security awareness and protecting personal data during electronic payment transactions. Moreover, the campaign encouraged women to benefit from electronic services in online shopping and bill payments, as these services save time and effort and contribute to improving quality of life. This initiative was carried out in alignment with the Third National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security—particularly the pillars of prevention and protection—and contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 5 (Gender Equality).

Women’s Health Awareness Campaign on Vitamins and Preventive Nutrition

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Arts and Humanities / Department of Archaeology, organized an awareness campaign entitled “Women’s Health Begins with Vitamins: Strength, Balance, and a Better Life” on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The campaign was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ria Nassif Jassim. The campaign aimed to raise awareness among women about the importance of vitamins and their essential role in maintaining overall health. It also sought to clarify the types of vitamins required at different life stages, particularly those related to bone health, skin, and hair. The campaign further emphasized the prevention of vitamin deficiencies, which may lead to various health issues such as anemia and weakened immunity. In addition, it encouraged women to adopt a balanced diet rich in essential nutrients, while addressing common misconceptions regarding dietary supplements and promoting their safe and appropriate use. Moreover, the campaign highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups to monitor vitamin levels in the body, contributing to early prevention and the maintenance of general well-being. It also focused on empowering women to take informed responsibility for their health in a manner that positively impacts their families and the wider community. This initiative aligns with the Third National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security—particularly the pillars of prevention and protection—and supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 5 (Gender Equality).
