Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Arts and Humanities, organized an awareness campaign entitled “Empowering Women through Electronic Payment: A Step Toward Financial Independence and Digital Security” on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The campaign was presented and supervised by Assistant Lecturer Russul Nima Kamal, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College. The campaign aimed to enhance women’s awareness of the importance of adopting electronic payment methods in their daily lives, given their convenience and security in conducting financial transactions. It also sought to promote women’s economic empowerment by enabling them to manage their finances more independently and efficiently. Furthermore, the campaign emphasized reducing reliance on cash, thereby minimizing the risks associated with carrying or losing it. In addition, the campaign introduced modern financial technologies and their effective and confident use, while supporting the principles of financial inclusion and integrating women into the digital banking system. It also highlighted the importance of promoting digital security awareness and protecting personal data during electronic payment transactions. Moreover, the campaign encouraged women to benefit from electronic services in online shopping and bill payments, as these services save time and effort and contribute to improving quality of life. This initiative was carried out in alignment with the Third National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security—particularly the pillars of prevention and protection—and contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 5 (Gender Equality).
