As part of efforts to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation among Iraqi universities, the Department of Aviation Technology Engineering at the College of Engineering Technology, Al-Mustaqbal University, signed a scientific twinning agreement on Sunday, October 18, 2026, with the Department of Aviation Technology Engineering at the Engineering Technical College – Najaf, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. The agreement aims to develop academic partnerships and facilitate the exchange of scientific and research expertise between the two institutions. The signing of the twinning agreement was attended by representatives of Al-Mustaqbal University, including Assistant Professor Dr. Ameen Mohammed Kitab, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Engineering Technology, and Assistant Professor Dr. Taisir Sameer Jaaz, Head of the Department of Aviation Technology Engineering. Representing Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University were Professor Dr. Hasaneen Ghani Al-Husseini, Dean of the Engineering Technical College – Najaf, and Professor Dr. Ali Shakir Baqir, Head of the Department of Aviation Technology Engineering. The twinning agreement seeks to strengthen joint cooperation in scientific, academic, and research fields, promote the exchange of expertise among faculty members, support joint scientific activities, organize specialized workshops and seminars, and develop academic programs and curricula in line with modern advancements in aviation technology engineering. This initiative reflects Al-Mustaqbal University's commitment to expanding cooperation with Iraqi universities and academic institutions and promoting scientific and research integration. It also contributes to improving the quality of engineering education, developing students' scientific and practical skills, and preparing qualified engineering professionals capable of meeting labor market demands and keeping pace with technological advancements in the aviation sector.
