Scientific Workshop Entitled: “Building Sustainable Peace: Highlighting Women’s Negotiation Skills and Their Impact on the Stability of Agreements and the Advancement of Society”
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the College of Medicine, organized a scientific workshop on May 3, 2026, entitled “Building Sustainable Peace: Highlighting Women’s Negotiation Skills and Their Impact on the Stability of Agreements and the Advancement of Society.” The workshop was supervised by Professor Dr. Walaa Luay Al-Falluji and delivered by Dr. Aseel Hashim Radi. This workshop was organized ضمن the framework of implementing the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security (2025–2030), specifically under the pillar of Protection and Prevention, Paragraph No. (2). It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 concerning gender equality and women’s empowerment. The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of women’s negotiation skills and their role in promoting societal stability and supporting sustainable agreements, in addition to emphasizing the positive impact of women’s active participation in peacebuilding and community development. The sessions also addressed the significance of empowering women academically and socially, while strengthening their presence in dialogue and decision-making processes, thereby contributing to the creation of an environment based on understanding, cooperation, and stability. Al-Mustaqbal University, recognized as the leading private university in Iraq, reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to supporting women and enhancing their role across various fields by providing a comprehensive and sustainable academic and research environment that contributes to community advancement and the promotion of equality and sustainable development.
