Al-Mustaqbal University Discusses Enhancing Academic Cooperation and Supporting International Accreditation with the University of Jordan

As part of its strategic vision aimed at developing academic and research performance and strengthening its regional and international presence, Al-Mustaqbal University held an academic meeting with the University of Jordan on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Presidency Building of the University of Jordan in the office of the Vice President for Accreditation, International Rankings, and Sustainability The meeting came as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to expand its institutional partnerships, enhance its educational and research programs, and benefit from advanced academic expertise in the fields of academic accreditation, quality assurance, and global rankings The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Faleh Al-Sawair, Vice President for Accreditation, International Rankings, and Sustainability, and Dr. Nojoud Al-Dabai, Director of the Office of International Rankings and International Accreditation at the University of Jordan. Al-Mustaqbal University was represented by Professor Dr. Tariq Jawad Kazim, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to develop scientific and academic cooperation, including activating joint cooperation agreements, strengthening student exchange programs and faculty exchange, as well as cooperation in the field of global rankings. The participants also discussed the possibility of organizing joint scientific conferences and holding academic activities that contribute to supporting the academic progress of both institutions The two sides also reviewed the most prominent scientific and academic achievements of both universities, reflecting the level of institutional development and progress in the fields of education and scientific research Both parties emphasized the importance of moving from the stage of signing agreements to actual implementation by setting clear priorities and developing practical action plans supported by timelines and continuous monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of academic partnerships The meeting also addressed opportunities for cooperation in accrediting engineering programs according to ABET standards and benefiting from the University of Jordan’s experience in quality assurance and supporting pathways toward international accreditation, contributing to the development of academic programs and the achievement of institutional excellence

Inauguration of Al-Mustaqbal University Council Hall in Accordance with International Standards and Affirmation of Progress Toward Academic Excellence

In a step that reflects its ongoing commitment to developing infrastructure and strengthening the university governance system, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, inaugurated the University Council Hall in its new form. The hall was designed and equipped in accordance with the latest international standards in engineering design and smart technologies, in line with the requirements of modern university administration and sound academic decision-making The inauguration coincided with the seventh session of the University Council for the 2025–2026 academic year, chaired by the University President and attended by the Council members, including the assistants and deans. The meeting represented an important milestone in reviewing priorities for the upcoming phase at both the academic and administrative levels At the beginning of the session, the University President extended his congratulations to the university community on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing that the inauguration of the new council hall is part of a comprehensive strategic vision aimed at enhancing the quality of higher education, improving the institutional work environment, and supporting academic and institutional accreditation pathways in accordance with international standards During the meeting, he stressed the importance of accelerating digital transformation, adopting clean energy technologies, expanding academic and research partnerships locally and internationally, supporting scientific research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and strengthening the university’s presence in global rankings and specialized digital platforms He also praised the outstanding achievements accomplished by the university’s colleges and departments, most notably the College of Pharmacy obtaining American accreditation, and the Power Mechanics Techniques Department ranking first programmatically at the level of Iraq, in addition to the advanced positions achieved by other departments in the national ranking—reflecting the continuous rise in academic performance indicators and the quality of educational outcomes The meeting also included a review of the scientific plan for the current semester, including international conferences, specialized seminars, and research activities, as well as follow-up on program accreditation requirements, discussion of the progress of first-semester examinations, and mechanisms for enhancing academic and administrative performance At the conclusion of the session, the University Council discussed the items listed on the agenda and adopted a number of decisions and recommendations supporting the university’s development process, further strengthening Al-Mustaqbal University’s position as a leading educational institution at both the national and international levels

Expanded Meeting at Al-Mustaqbal University to Enhance Academic Performance and Activate Institutional Development Plans

Al-Mustaqbal University held an expanded coordination meeting chaired by its President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The meeting was dedicated to reviewing the current state of scientific and academic performance and discussing ways to enhance it in alignment with the university’s strategic objectives and future plans The University President opened the meeting by extending his congratulations to the university community—faculty members, staff, and students—on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts during the upcoming phase to maintain the level of achievement attained and to work collectively in a spirit of teamwork to advance institutional performance. He also stressed that development is a shared responsibility that requires integration among all administrative and academic units of the university The meeting included a comprehensive review of scientific and academic performance indicators, during which several key themes were discussed, including quality of education, curriculum development, enhancement of scientific research, as well as follow-up on the implementation plans set for the current academic semester For his part, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, delivered a detailed presentation on the conferences and scientific events scheduled to be organized in the coming period. He addressed the organizational, scientific, and logistical requirements necessary to ensure their success and achieve their research and academic objectives, thereby contributing to strengthening the university’s academic reputation The meeting also witnessed active participation from the Scientific Affairs Department, which reviewed its plans to support research activities, organize specialized seminars and workshops, follow up on graduation projects and postgraduate studies, and develop mechanisms for documenting scholarly outputs and enhancing research databases in line with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards Participants also discussed cultural relations activities and academic openness initiatives, particularly those related to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s initiative on the internationalization of higher education in Iraq. The attendees emphasized the importance of expanding international cooperation and establishing academic partnerships that enhance the university’s presence at both national and regional levels The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations emphasizing the necessity of continuous performance monitoring, strengthening coordination among colleges and academic departments, and adhering to clear timelines to ensure the achievement of the university’s goals in academic and research excellence

Al-Mustaqbal University Launches Master’s Programs in Public International Law and Administrative Law in Partnership with Mansoura University of Egypt in an Unprecedented Academic Achievement Among Iraqi Universities

In an academic achievement considered the first of its kind among Iraqi universities, Al-Mustaqbal University has announced the launch of two Master’s programs in Law in academic partnership and cooperation with Mansoura University in the Arab Republic of Egypt. This strategic step supports the internationalization of higher education in Iraq and reinforces the concept of international partnerships in postgraduate studies The two newly launched programs include Master of Public International Law Master of Administrative Law The introduction of the Master of Public International Law and the Master of Administrative Law comes as a result of activating the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Al-Mustaqbal University and Mansoura University. The agreement aims to develop postgraduate law programs, enhance international academic and research collaboration, and elevate the quality of legal education in Iraq in accordance with global standards As part of this international university cooperation, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, received a high-level academic delegation from Mansoura University, which included Professor Dr. Walid El-Shennawy, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Abdel-Raouf, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research. Al-Mustaqbal University Expands Its Regional Presence Through Participation in the Gulf Education Exhibition in Riyadh

Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the nineteenth edition of the Gulf Education Exhibition, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from February 9 to 10, 2026, with wide participation from universities and educational institutions from within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad. The university was represented at the exhibition by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shaker Majdi, Dean of the College of Engineering, accompanied by Assistant Lecturer Zaid Jawdat Kazem. They supervised the university’s pavilion and conducted a series of introductory meetings with prospective students and those interested in pursuing higher education, during which they provided a comprehensive overview of the academic programs and available specializations. The university’s pavilion attracted notable interest from visitors, where engineering and technical disciplines, admission procedures, and educational opportunities available to Arab and international students were presented. Al-Mustaqbal University Signs Scientific and Cultural Cooperation Agreements with Iraqi Universities on the Sidelines of the EURAS Academy 2026 Forum

In its continuous efforts to enhance academic cooperation and expand its national partnerships, Al-Mustaqbal University signed a number of scientific and cultural cooperation agreements with several Iraqi universities on the sidelines of the EURAS Academy 2026 Forum The agreements were signed by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the University of Mosul, Al-Mustansiriyah University, the Northern Technical University, the Southern Technical University, and Al-Noor University, in the presence of the presidents of these universities: Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, Professor Dr. Safaa Taqi Al-Issawi, Professor Dr. Aliaa Al-Attar, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, and Professor Dr. Abdul Jawad Al-Amiri This strategic step reaffirms Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to strengthening integration among Iraqi universities and developing the higher education system. President of Al-Mustaqbal University Inaugurates the Grand Celebration Hall Concurrent with the Success of EURAS Academy 2026

In a celebratory atmosphere reflecting the significant development and achievements witnessed by the University of Al-Mustaqbal, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, inaugurated the Grand Celebration Hall during an official ceremony held in conjunction with the remarkable success of the European–Asian Universities Forum (EURAS Academy 2026) and the attainment of advanced positions by several academic departments in the Iraqi national rankings. The event was attended by the senior administrative leadership and a large gathering of faculty members and university staff The inauguration of the Grand Celebration Hall represents a qualitative addition to the University’s academic and cultural infrastructure and embodies the vision of the University Presidency to provide modern spaces that support scientific and intellectual dialogue and offer an environment befitting the hosting of major academic events, in line with the University’s path toward institutional modernization and sustainable development During the ceremony, the President of the University delivered a speech in which he emphasized that this inauguration marks an important milestone in the University’s journey, noting that the achievements realized are the result of strategic planning and teamwork. Al-Mustaqbal University Launches the EURAS Academy 2026 International Forum with the Participation of the Scientific Affairs Department

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in cooperation with the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS), Al-Mustaqbal University launched the activities of the EURAS Academy 2026 International Forum, which is being held for the first time in Iraq, with wide international and local participation from higher education leaders, academics, and decision-makers The opening ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, the President of EURAS Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydin, and the President of Al-Mustaqbal University Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, along with a number of Iraqi university presidents, vice presidents, deans, and faculty members.
