Reaffirming its commitment to recognizing excellence and fostering a culture of achievement, the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University honored the Scientific Affairs Department and several of its distinguished staff members during an expanded meeting held to review the University's most significant academic, research, and international ranking achievements. The meeting was attended by the University leadership, college deans, and directors of departments and administrative units During the meeting, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, emphasized that the University's continued success is the result of a clear strategic vision, integrated institutional performance, and effective collaboration among all its academic and administrative units. He noted that maintaining the University's leadership position requires sustained support for scientific research, continuous enhancement of educational quality, acceleration of digital transformation, and the expansion of local and international partnerships, in line with the University's aspiration to achieve greater global excellence The meeting also included a review of key academic and research performance indicators. Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, presented an overview of the results of the national ministerial standardized examinations, highlighting the outstanding success rates achieved by the University's academic departments, which reflect the quality of its academic programs and the competence of its faculty members In addition, Professor Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, reviewed the University's achievements in international rankings, most notably its position as the top-ranked Iraqi university in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026. He also highlighted the University's remarkable performance in the U.S. News Best Global Universities Rankings and the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), affirming that these accomplishments are the result of comprehensive institutional efforts and the University's commitment to implementing international best practices in higher education and scientific research The meeting further highlighted the University's achievements in quality assurance and academic accreditation. Dr. Riyadh Hamid Salman, Director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Department, stated that the programmatic accreditation awarded to the College of Law and the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences represents a significant milestone in the University's journey toward strengthening quality standards and academic excellence The meeting concluded with a ceremony honoring the colleges, departments, committees, and staff members whose contributions played a key role in achieving these accomplishments. Among those recognized were Professor Dr. Tariq Jawad Kadhim, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, in appreciation of his efforts in supporting scientific initiatives and overseeing academic development projects, and Mr. Ali Abbas Abdul Hussein, Director of the International Rankings Unit, in recognition of his outstanding efforts in managing the University's international rankings portfolio and strengthening Al-Mustaqbal University's global presence. Several teams and committees were also honored for their contributions to the University's achievements in international rankings, academic accreditation, and ministerial standardized examinations This recognition reflects Al-Mustaqbal University's unwavering commitment to promoting a culture of institutional excellence and valuing the efforts that enhance its academic reputation.
