The Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies at the Engineering Technical College of Al-Mustaqbal University, under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Division, organized an awareness activity entitled “The Importance of Early Detection and Prevention: Health Awareness for a Safe Life.” The activity targeted female students and staff members of the department and aimed to raise health awareness about the importance of early breast cancer detection and its role in prevention and protecting women’s health and well-being. The activity covered the main warning signs and symptoms of breast cancer, including the appearance of lumps or swelling and changes in the skin or nipple. It also highlighted the importance of breast self-examination and regular medical follow-up, encouraging participants to prioritize their health and adopt preventive practices that contribute to improving their quality of life. This activity forms part of the implementation of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace and Security (2025–2030), under the protection pillar, particularly the provision concerning the promotion of women’s health awareness and the support of their vital role in society. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, through promoting health education and preventive practices, and SDG 5: Gender Equality, by supporting women’s empowerment and safeguarding their health and well-being. This initiative reflects the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies’ commitment to promoting health awareness among its female students and staff and fostering a culture of prevention and social responsibility. Al-Mustaqbal University, the number one among private universities in Iraq, continues its efforts to support health awareness and community initiatives, contributing to a safe and healthy university environment and advancing sustainable development.
