The College of Science at the University of the Future organized a scientific seminar entitled “Wearable Medical Devices and Their Role in Monitoring Human Health” on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The seminar was delivered by the Rapporteur of the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Science and was held in the Humanities Building, as part of the College’s efforts to promote scientific awareness of modern medical technologies and their applications in healthcare. The seminar addressed the concept of wearable medical devices and their importance in continuously monitoring human health and vital signs through smart technologies that enable the collection and analysis of health data. These technologies can support health monitoring and contribute to the early detection of certain changes that may require medical attention. The seminar also highlighted some of the latest applications of wearable devices in monitoring heart rate, physical activity levels, sleep patterns, and other health indicators. It further discussed the role of artificial intelligence and data analysis in enhancing the efficiency of these devices and transforming collected data into valuable information that can contribute to improving healthcare. The seminar witnessed scientific interaction among the attendees, with emphasis on the importance of keeping pace with rapid developments in smart medical technologies and enhancing their use in serving people and advancing modern healthcare practices. The seminar is part of the scientific activities of the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Science and reflects its commitment to highlighting emerging technologies that integrate medicine, technology, and artificial intelligence, in line with the University of the Future’s efforts to support innovation, scientific research, and community service.
