Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, chaired an expanded meeting dedicated to reviewing mechanisms for activating and effectively utilizing the agreements and memoranda of understanding concluded between the University and a number of local and international universities and academic institutions. The meeting was held as part of the University’s efforts to strengthen the academic and scientific impact of its partnerships and expand areas of cooperation at both the local and international levels. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, Dean of the College of Engineering; as well as a number of directors of departments and centers at the University Presidency and the relevant colleges. The meeting discussed ways to move existing agreements and memoranda of understanding beyond their formal framework toward practical and effective cooperation programs and projects. It also addressed potential areas of cooperation with partner universities and academic institutions, including strengthening scientific research, exchanging expertise and knowledge, developing training programs, supporting academic mobility, and preparing and implementing joint programs and projects. Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi emphasized the importance of making optimal use of the concluded agreements and memoranda of understanding and transforming them into practical pathways with tangible impact. He noted that this would contribute to achieving their intended scientific and academic objectives, supporting the development of the educational and research environment, opening broader prospects for international cooperation, and enhancing Al-Mustaqbal University’s academic standing and reputation both locally and internationally. The meeting comes within Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to establish sustainable academic partnerships and maximize the benefits of its network of relationships with universities and scientific and research institutions. This aligns with the University’s vision of building an academic environment that is open to global experiences and transforming institutional agreements and partnerships into sustainable scientific and research programs and outcomes. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first one university in Iraq.
