Al-Mustaqbal University has followed the reports circulated on certain social media platforms concerning the alleged suspension of admissions for the 2026–2027 academic year due to the non-payment of social security contributions. In the interest of transparency and to provide accurate information to the public, our students, and their families, the University wishes to clarify the following: First: The issue raised is solely related to the completion of the payment procedures for the 2025 social security contributions. It has no connection whatsoever to any scientific, academic, or administrative matter concerning the University or its educational activities. The University reaffirms its full commitment to complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and official instructions. Any delay that occurred was exclusively associated with the final reconciliation and verification procedures conducted by the competent authorities and was not caused by the University. Second: In accordance with the provisions of the Retirement and Social Security Law for Workers No. (18) of 2023, particularly those governing employers' obligations regarding retirement and social security contributions, the University has completed all required legal, administrative, and financial procedures. It has also submitted all necessary documents and information to the Department of Retirement and Social Security in Babylon Governorate to finalize the payment process in accordance with the established official procedures. Third: Al-Mustaqbal University reassures its students and their families that the matter being circulated is merely a routine financial and administrative procedure currently being finalized through the appropriate legal channels. It has no impact whatsoever on student admissions, academic activities, or the University's educational quality and academic excellence. The University will continue to welcome students across all scientific and humanities disciplines, while urging everyone to obtain information from official sources and avoid relying on inaccurate or misleading information circulated on unofficial platforms. Fourth: Al-Mustaqbal University emphasizes that its distinguished academic record and scientific achievements clearly demonstrate its leading position in higher education in Iraq. Among its most notable accomplishments are: Receiving an Official Letter of Appreciation from the President of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, based on the recommendation of the relevant committee, in recognition of the University's excellence and adherence to high academic standards. Achieving first place among Iraq's private universities and colleges for three consecutive years in the Iraqi National University Ranking issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority. Obtaining full institutional accreditation, in addition to programmatic accreditation for several colleges and departments, including the Colleges of Pharmacy, Law, and Physical Education and Sports Sciences, as well as the Department of Anesthesia. Establishing distinguished international academic partnerships and becoming an accredited host institution for postgraduate programs offered by internationally recognized universities ranked in the Shanghai Ranking, including Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Mansoura University, reflecting the strong international confidence in the University's academic quality.
