As part of its commitment to community service and the advancement of scientific research that addresses societal issues, Professor Dr. Mahdi Abadi Manaa, Head of the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems, conducted a community-based scientific study in collaboration with the College of Information Technology, University of Babylon, entitled:
"The Relationship Between Place of Residence (Rural and Urban Areas) and Students' Academic Achievement and the Factors Influencing It."
The study aimed to examine the relationship between students' residential environments and their academic performance while identifying the key social and educational factors that influence academic achievement. The findings provide valuable scientific evidence that can support the development of educational policies and student support programs.
The study received recognition from the Social Protection Directorate / Babylon Social Protection Department, which issued an official letter of appreciation to the research team. The Directorate noted that the study contains valuable information that can be utilized by the Social Research Division to enhance field research and improve social work practices.
This achievement reflects Al-Mustaqbal University's commitment to employing scientific research in the service of society and strengthening academic collaboration with government institutions. It also highlights the University's dedication to producing research that contributes practical solutions to societal challenges and reinforces the role of researchers in connecting academic knowledge with community needs.
