Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq, ranked first among Iraqi private universities and colleges in the URAP World Ranking 2026 for the third consecutive year, following the announcement of the latest results of the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP). The university maintained the top position it achieved in the 2024 and 2025 editions, reaffirming the success of its strategic vision in scientific research and academic excellence. This achievement was recorded in Iraq through the 2026 ranking results, where Al-Mustaqbal University secured first place among all private universities and colleges in the country. At the national level, including both public and private institutions, the university ranked third overall, preceded only by the University of Baghdad and the University of Technology. Internationally, the university achieved a remarkable advancement by improving its global position by 294 places compared with the previous year’s ranking, reflecting the rapid growth in the quality, impact, and visibility of its scientific research output. This progress is attributed to the university’s strong performance in the ranking indicators based on data provided by Clarivate Analytics, including the number of published research papers, citation counts, overall scientific productivity, and international research collaboration. The achievement highlights Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to international academic standards and the continuous enhancement of research quality. It also contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), while strengthening Iraq’s presence in the global academic community
