In light of the rapid digital transformation taking place in the healthcare sector, cybersecurity has become a fundamental pillar for safeguarding medical information and ensuring the continuity of healthcare services. As healthcare institutions increasingly rely on intelligent medical systems, electronic health records, and network-connected devices, the challenges associated with protecting sensitive data from cyber threats and attacks continue to grow. Healthcare organizations employ a range of advanced security solutions, including encryption technologies, multi-layered security frameworks, threat detection and response systems, and continuous monitoring of digital infrastructure. In addition, raising cybersecurity awareness and training healthcare personnel on best digital security practices play a vital role in reducing risks caused by human error. With the continuous evolution of cyberattacks, artificial intelligence has emerged as a powerful tool for strengthening healthcare cybersecurity. AI can analyze large volumes of data, identify unusual activities, and predict potential threats before they occur. It also helps protect smart medical devices, such as patient monitoring systems and connected medical equipment, from unauthorized access and malicious manipulation. Investing in cybersecurity goes beyond protecting medical data and information; it is essential for ensuring patient safety, maintaining the reliability of intelligent healthcare systems, and preserving public trust in healthcare institutions within today’s digital environment.
