Medical laboratories are undergoing a significant transformation through the integration of automation and artificial intelligence, leading to the emergence of “smart laboratories” characterized by high speed and exceptional accuracy in biological sample analysis. These laboratories rely on fully automated analyzers, robotic systems for sample examination, and artificial intelligence technologies that process data and generate instant reports. Smart laboratories contribute to improving the quality of laboratory operations by reducing human errors and accelerating response times, which is critically important in emergency and critical cases. They also enable the handling of large numbers of samples within a short period, enhancing the efficiency of hospitals and healthcare centers. In addition, intelligent systems allow direct integration with electronic medical records, creating a connected medical pathway from the moment the sample is collected until the results reach the treating physician. Artificial intelligence can also analyze laboratory patterns to predict diseases or monitor the progression of chronic conditions. Smart laboratories represent the future of laboratory work, where technological innovation and medical precision come together to provide more advanced, faster, and more reliable healthcare services.
