The Smart Medical Systems Department at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a bazaar for handmade accessories projects on Thursday, April 17, 2026, as part of the activities of Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week 2026, with notable participation from the department’s students.
This activity was supervised by the Women’s Affairs Committee in the department, represented by Assistant Lecturer Najat Hamid Jassim, Programmer Aya Jamal Haidi, and Programmer Huda Khudair Hani. The event aimed to support students’ initiative, encourage creativity, and help transform their skills into sustainable, productive projects.
The bazaar featured a variety of handmade accessories created using environmentally friendly materials, reflecting a high level of innovation and attention to both aesthetic and environmental aspects, in alignment with sustainability and entrepreneurship concepts.
The event witnessed significant engagement from visitors, including students and faculty members, who expressed their admiration for the displayed projects and emphasized the importance of such activities in supporting youth talents and promoting a culture of productivity within the university environment.
The Women’s Affairs Committee affirmed its commitment to organizing qualitative initiatives that contribute to empowering students—especially female students—and enhancing their active participation in meaningful activities, in line with sustainable development goals.
This activity comes as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to support student innovation and provide an integrated educational environment that combines academic and practical aspects, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
