Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, the Department of Smart Medical Systems at the College of Science announces a scientific workshop entitled “Livestock Management Through Smart Systems for Achieving Sustainable Food Security.” The workshop will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. in the University Activities Hall. The scientific lecture will be delivered by Professor Dr. Mahdi Abadi Manea, a faculty member in the Department of Smart Medical Systems at the College of Science. The workshop will address the importance of employing modern technologies in developing livestock management methods, the role of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things in improving livestock production and enhancing monitoring and follow-up efficiency, as well as the significance of early health warning systems and food safety tracking in supporting food security. The workshop aims to introduce the role of smart systems in developing the livestock sector and promoting sustainable food security. It will also highlight the potential of technological innovations in addressing challenges related to livestock production and food product safety, contributing to the development of a more efficient and sustainable food system. This workshop is part of the scientific activities organized by the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University to support scientific research, promote academic knowledge exchange, and encourage the use of modern technologies in serving society. These efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 2: Zero Hunger, which focuses on ending hunger, achieving food security, improving nutrition, and promoting sustainable agriculture.
