Hassan Saad Meiri, a student in the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, has achieved a distinguished sporting accomplishment by securing second place in Asia and the silver medal at the Asian Powerlifting Championship. The achievement came as the student represented the Iraqi National Powerlifting Team in the equipped bench press competition in the Junior category, 74 kg weight class. He successfully recorded a 120 kg lift, earning second place in a highly competitive event featuring athletes from several Asian countries. This accomplishment highlights the diverse talents and capabilities of the College of Science students, which extend beyond academic and scientific excellence to include sports and international participation. Such achievements further strengthen the presence of Al-Mustaqbal University and its students at various national and international events. On this occasion, the Dean’s Office of the College of Science, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to student Hassan Saad Meiri on this outstanding sporting achievement.
