The College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University held a preparatory meeting with students from the Department of Forensic Science who will participate in a scientific training course to be held at Razi University in Kermanshah, Islamic Republic of Iran, entitled: “From the Crime Scene to the Laboratory: Employing Biological Sciences in Forensic Analysis” The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Dhargham Ali Abbas, Head of the Department of Forensic Science, and Dr. Maytham Nabeel Meqdad Ajam, Scientific Supervisor and Coordinator of the Course, along with the participating students. At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Dhargham Ali Abbas welcomed the participating students and emphasized the importance of their participation in strengthening the practical aspects of Forensic Science. He highlighted that scientific training courses and academic visits contribute to broadening students’ knowledge and exposing them to academic and laboratory experiences at international universities. He also encouraged the students to adhere to the relevant instructions and make the most of the scientific program of the course. For his part, Dr. Maytham Nabeel Meqdad Ajam, Scientific Supervisor and Course Coordinator, explained the main details of the training program and its scientific topics, in addition to clarifying the organizational procedures related to travel, accommodation, lecture schedules, and scientific activities. He also provided the students with a number of guidelines and instructions to help them gain the maximum academic benefit from this experience, emphasizing the importance of punctuality, compliance with instructions, and representing Al-Mustaqbal University and the Department of Forensic Science in a manner that reflects the university’s academic standards. The meeting also included a direct dialogue with the students, during which their questions and inquiries regarding the course, travel arrangements, and training program were addressed. Several scientific and organizational aspects related to the delegation’s participation were also discussed. This participation is part of the College of Science’s commitment at Al-Mustaqbal University to providing students with valuable academic opportunities and strengthening scientific cooperation and exchange with international universities and academic institutions. Such initiatives contribute to developing students’ scientific and practical skills and connecting theoretical knowledge with laboratory and field applications in Forensic Science.
