Medical and biological waste includes all contaminated materials resulting from educational, research, or clinical activities that contain hazardous components, such as blood, tissues, sharps, microorganisms, or infectious biological agents.

Waste is classified based on its type and level of biohazard and stored in specialized, secure containers in accordance with approved regulations. Clear warning signs are utilized to prevent occupational exposure, and personnel are trained in waste segregation and storage protocols.

The transport of medical and biological waste from points of generation to final disposal or treatment sites must adhere to rigorous procedures that ensure protection against environmental contamination or accidental spillage.
