Al-Mustaqbal University presents eco-friendly fuel technologies

Presented by Al-Mustaqbal University, a scientific study examined the technology of producing and using eco-friendly fuel in industrial furnaces, aiming to reduce gas emissions and improve combustion efficiency in factories that rely on heavy fuel oil The study showed that burning one cubic meter of heavy fuel oil produces approximately 3.48 tons of carbon dioxide, 60.8 kg of sulfur dioxide, and 8.8 kg of nitrogen oxides, reflecting the significant environmental impact of conventional combustion systems. It also indicated that burning 1,877 cubic meters of fuel daily results in more than 6,210 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per day The research highlighted that advanced combustion systems have significantly reduced carbon monoxide emissions by improving fuel-air mixing and increasing combustion efficiency through pre-treatment techniques and secondary fuel atomization. The findings also confirmed that these technologies provide more stable and cleaner combustion compared to traditional systems
