Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University held an in-person training workshop entitled “The Electronic Survey Platform at Al-Mustaqbal University” on Tuesday, 20 October 2026. The workshop was attended by staff members responsible for measurement and evaluation, quality assurance, and website administration across the university’s colleges, divisions, and administrative units. The workshop was organized as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to developing institutional work procedures, promoting the use of digital technologies in data collection and analysis, and improving measurement and evaluation processes. These efforts contribute to evidence-based decision-making and support continuous improvement in academic and administrative performance. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Saad Fathallah Al-Alam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit; Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Mitham; and Assistant Lecturer Noor Thamer Mahmoud. It addressed several key topics, including the importance of surveys, the electronic survey platform at Al-Mustaqbal University, and the procedures for using the platform. The sessions also covered how to design surveys, publish and distribute them to target groups, analyze the resulting data, and use the findings to support evaluation processes and improve institutional performance. Professor Dr. Saad Fathallah Al-Alam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, opened the academic component of the workshop with an introductory presentation on surveys and their importance as essential tools for collecting data and information from target groups. He highlighted their role in identifying opinions, attitudes, and satisfaction levels, as well as providing indicators that help evaluate performance, identify strengths, and determine opportunities for improvement. He also explained methods for analyzing survey responses and extracting statistical findings and indicators, along with the procedures for preparing comprehensive survey reports. These reports include presenting, discussing, and interpreting the results, formulating conclusions and recommendations, and developing practical improvement measures based on the available data. He emphasized the importance of these stages in strengthening the university’s measurement and evaluation system, assessing the quality of educational outcomes, and supporting effective, evidence-based development decisions. For his part, Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Mitham from the Technology Incubator Department delivered a practical presentation on Al-Mustaqbal University’s electronic survey platform. He introduced the platform and explained how to use it, outlining the steps involved in creating electronic surveys, designing questions, and organizing survey sections in accordance with assessment objectives and the needs of the target audience. He also demonstrated how to administer surveys, collect responses, and generate reports and data outputs. Furthermore, he highlighted the platform’s practical features that help users streamline work procedures, reduce the time and effort required to conduct surveys, improve data organization and accuracy, and make the collected information more accessible for analysis and reporting. The workshop also emphasized the importance of integrating the methodological and statistical aspects of survey design and analysis with the technological capabilities of the electronic platform. This integration ensures that the process extends beyond data collection to include analysis, interpretation, and the practical application of findings in developing recommendations and corrective and improvement measures. It also strengthens the ability of colleges and administrative units to monitor performance indicators, measure stakeholder satisfaction, identify actual needs, and follow up on the implementation of improvement plans more efficiently and effectively. The workshop targeted measurement and evaluation officers in the university’s colleges, quality assurance officers, and authorized website administrators across colleges, divisions, and administrative units. Its objective was to enhance their skills in using the platform and standardize procedures for preparing and administering surveys and extracting their results, thereby supporting the development of institutional practices and promoting a culture of quality assurance and continuous evaluation throughout the university. This workshop is part of a series of training activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to develop the capabilities of its academic and administrative staff, keep pace with digital transformation in higher education, and enhance the efficiency of electronic systems that support quality assurance and institutional accreditation. These efforts are aligned with the university’s vision of achieving excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
