Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new academic milestone by securing first place among all Iraqi public and private universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026, further strengthening its distinguished presence at both the national and international levels in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) The University was placed within the 201–300 global band among more than 1,603 participating universities worldwide, while ranking first among all Iraqi institutions included in the classification. This accomplishment reflects the University's success in enhancing its academic, research, and societal contributions in accordance with internationally recognized standards Al-Mustaqbal University also attained leading positions across several Sustainable Development Goals, ranking first in Iraq in the areas of No Poverty, Affordable and Clean Energy, Climate Action, and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, in addition to securing second place nationally in Quality Education This achievement highlights the effectiveness of the University's programs and initiatives aimed at supporting sustainable development, alongside its commitment to advancing the educational and research environment and strengthening community and scientific partnerships in line with the requirements of global rankings The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy, emphasized that these results are the outcome of the University's continuous institutional efforts and strategic vision. He added that the University remains committed to developing its academic and research programs and expanding initiatives linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, further enhancing its position among leading universities at the regional and international levels
