Al-Mustaqbal University continues to achieve remarkable progress in global research excellence indicators, reinforcing its position among leading Iraqi and regional universities through sustained growth in scientific publications and academic impact, according to the latest Scopus database statistics updated on May 30, 2026 The data revealed that the university’s researchers have published 6,518 Scopus-indexed scientific papers, while its H-index increased to 90, one of the most widely recognized global indicators for measuring scientific impact and research citations The university also recorded the publication of 357 new scientific papers during 2026 to date, reflecting the growing research momentum across its colleges and research centers, as well as its continued commitment to supporting high-quality scientific output In line with its dedication to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the indicators showed that Al-Mustaqbal University has produced 4,346 scientific publications related to the SDGs, demonstrating its commitment to utilizing scientific research to address priority social, environmental, and economic challenges at the global level The university’s most prominent research contributions are distributed across key areas, including Good Health and Well-Being, Affordable and Clean Energy, Clean Water and Sanitation, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Climate Action, further strengthening its role in promoting sustainable development and providing scientific solutions to contemporary challenges These indicators confirm Al-Mustaqbal University’s success in fostering a research environment that encourages creativity and innovation, enhancing international scientific collaboration, and supporting researchers and students.
