Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Department of Cosmetic and Laser Techniques, organized an awareness seminar on May 18, 2026, entitled “Raising Awareness of the Importance of Respecting Women.” The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Haiman Waleed Madhloom and Ms. Shahad Nawras. The seminar aimed to promote a culture of respect for women and to reinforce the values of equality and social justice, as well as to support women’s active role in community building and sustainable development, contributing to a more aware and balanced society. This seminar aligns with the vision of Al-Mustaqbal University in supporting women’s issues and empowering women academically and socially. It also seeks to raise awareness of the importance of respecting women’s rights and to provide a safe and sustainable educational and social environment that enhances their status and role in society. The activity is part of the implementation of the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security (2025–2030), specifically under the Protection and Prevention Pillar / Paragraph (2), which emphasizes the importance of promoting a culture of respect for women, reducing all forms of discrimination and violence, and enhancing women’s active participation in various fields of life. Al-Mustaqbal University, recognized as the leading private university in Iraq, reaffirms its continued commitment to supporting awareness initiatives and activities that contribute to strengthening the principles of social justice and equality, while enhancing community awareness of women’s issues and rights.
