Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Department of Forensic Evidence at the College of Science, organized a scientific workshop on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, entitled “Towards Effective Leadership and Sustainable Development.” The workshop was held in the Humanities Building – Hall 208, with the attendance of a number of faculty members and students. The workshop aimed to promote the concepts of effective leadership and sustainable development, while highlighting the importance of women’s empowerment and their role in building an academically aware society capable of addressing contemporary challenges, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to quality education, equality, and women’s empowerment. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Mais Uday Mohammed, who discussed key modern leadership skills and the importance of strategic planning in achieving sustainable development goals. The session also emphasized the role of educational institutions in supporting young talents and developing their academic and practical capabilities. The workshop witnessed distinguished interaction from attendees through discussions and questions that enriched the workshop themes, reflecting the strong interest of students and faculty members in topics related to leadership and community development. The Deanship of the College of Science and the Department Presidency reaffirmed their commitment to organizing scientific and awareness activities that contribute to developing students’ skills and enhancing community awareness, praising the constructive cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division in organizing purposeful events.
