As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen its research presence and expand engagement with international academic programs, a number of researchers and faculty members from Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the international training workshop organized by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, in cooperation with the European Union and the EU Training Lab initiative, entitled “Unlocking EU Research, Innovation and Initiative Funding Opportunities for Iraqi Researchers within Horizon Europe” The workshop was held online on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, and lasted for three hours, with the participation of specialized European trainers and researchers from various Iraqi universities The workshop aimed to introduce Iraqi researchers to the “Horizon Europe” program, which is considered one of the largest research and innovation funding programs in the European Union.
