Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Department of Industrial Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, organized an online awareness workshop on Wednesday evening, May 13, 2026, entitled “The Role of Women in Promoting Justice, Human Rights, and Community Peace.” The workshop targeted first-year students and was presented by Dr. Tuqa Hazim Abdullah and Ms. Tabarak Ahmed Turki. The workshop was held within the framework of implementing the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security, under the Protection Pillar / Paragraph Two, and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 concerning gender equality and the empowerment of women. The workshop addressed the significant role of women in building a society based on justice and equality, in addition to their active contribution to promoting a culture of tolerance and strengthening community peace. It emphasized that empowering women and safeguarding their rights constitute essential foundations for achieving societal stability and sustainable development. Furthermore, the workshop highlighted the major challenges facing women, including discrimination, violence, and limited awareness of rights, while stressing the importance of supporting women and encouraging their participation in education, employment, and community engagement due to its positive impact on building a more aware and cohesive society. This workshop forms part of a series of awareness activities regularly organized by the department to enhance students’ cultural and humanitarian awareness and to reinforce the values of cooperation, mutual respect, and human rights within both the university environment and the wider community. #Ranked_first_among_private_universities_in_Iraq
