Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the College of Health and Medical Technologies, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Legal Protection of Women from Domestic Violence in Iraqi Law.” The seminar was held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in the Student Activities Hall at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, and was managed by Assistant Lecturer Rasal Mushtaq Talib (Department Coordinator), in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 10. The seminar aimed to promote legal and societal awareness of domestic violence issues, while shedding light on the legal frameworks and legislative measures designed to protect women. It also emphasized the role of academic institutions in fostering legal awareness and reinforcing the principles of social responsibility. The seminar included a number of specialized academic lectures delivered by Dr. Hussein Jabr Al-Ta’i (PhD in Philosophy of Public Law) and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Hamza Aidan (specialist in Criminal Law). The speakers reviewed key legal provisions related to the protection of women and discussed mechanisms to address and reduce domestic violence, highlighting the essential role of law in achieving social justice and safeguarding human rights. This seminar is part of the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic collaboration and disseminate legal awareness, contributing to community service and the advancement of academic and intellectual standards. #Ranked_first_among_private_universities_in_Iraq
