Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Education, organized an awareness workshop entitled “Training Women Leaders in Political Participation and Development”, supervised by the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din Abdullah. The workshop was held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 12:00 noon, in the Psychological Counseling Room at the College, with the participation of a number of female faculty members and administrative staff. The workshop was delivered by the Head of the Women’s Affairs Division, Assistant Lecturer Mary Imran Mahdi, who addressed several key topics focusing on the concept of women’s leadership, mechanisms for training and qualifying women to actively participate in political development processes, as well as highlighting the importance of women’s leadership roles in building a cohesive society. The workshop also discussed the importance of Iraqi women possessing psychological resilience, the ability to endure challenges, and make sound decisions, in addition to maintaining a balanced role within the family, society, and workplace, thereby achieving integration across their various responsibilities. An interactive approach was adopted during the workshop, where participants engaged in discussions and exchanged views, contributing to a deeper understanding and enrichment of the topic. This workshop was conducted within the framework of the 2026 National Action Plan to Combat Violence Against Women and Girls, specifically under Pillar Three / Paragraph Two, and also contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting continuous learning and development opportunities. #Ranked_first_among_private_universities_in_Iraq
