Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division at the University, in cooperation with the Department of Industrial College Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, participated in the “Future Sustainability Bazaar”, held as part of the activities of the Fourth International Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week, from 12/4/2026 to 14/4/2026, in the Future Bazaar tent near Al-Hassan Mosque (peace be upon him). This initiative was conducted under the title: “Participation of the Department of Industrial College Technologies in the Future Sustainability Bazaar.” It aimed to support and empower women, particularly female owners of small projects, by providing a practical platform to showcase their products and highlight their skills and creativity in handicrafts and artistic works, thereby enhancing their economic and social opportunities. This activity is aligned with the implementation of the 2026 Executive Plan of the Iraqi National Strategy for Women, specifically under the Economic and Social Empowerment Pillar, and in accordance with Paragraph (2), which focuses on supporting women’s participation in economic initiatives, enabling them to develop small projects, and strengthening their economic independence. The participation included the display of a variety of handcrafted and artistic works that reflected the participants’ skills and productive capacities, contributing to fostering entrepreneurship and encouraging women to develop sustainable projects that support financial independence and expand their participation in the labor market. Furthermore, this initiative is consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 (Gender Equality) and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), through promoting women’s empowerment and supporting their inclusion in various development sectors. Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its continued commitment to supporting impactful community initiatives, promoting sustainability concepts, and enhancing the role of women in development, in line with its pioneering vision of serving society and advancing the academic environment. #Ranked_first_among_private_universities_in_Iraq
