Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Division, the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop entitled “Sustaining Water Resources Using Artificial Intelligence” on April 5, 2026, held on campus. The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of employing artificial intelligence technologies in water resource management and optimizing their utilization. It presented contemporary approaches to environmental data analysis, water source prediction, and the reduction of water waste through intelligent systems, thereby supporting sustainable water management practices. The workshop featured a range of scientific and applied topics, accompanied by interactive discussions and valuable contributions that reflected a growing awareness of the role of advanced technologies in addressing contemporary environmental challenges. It also included the presentation of practical models and innovative approaches that contribute to preserving natural resources and promoting a culture of responsible water use. This activity aligns with the university’s strategic orientation toward supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and Goal 13 (Climate Action), through the adoption of smart technological solutions that enhance environmental sustainability. Furthermore, the workshop was conducted in line with the Third National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security (2025–2030), reaffirming the department’s commitment to supporting women’s participation, leadership, and empowerment, and strengthening their role within the academic environment. It also contributes to developing students’ analytical and applied thinking skills, encouraging the effective use of modern technologies, and fostering innovative solutions that keep pace with technological advancements while safeguarding natural resources. #Ranked_first_among_private_universities_in_Iraq
