The University of Al-Mustaqbal has officially launched the activities of the Fourth International Future Sustainability Week 2026, held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and under the direct supervision of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The event witnessed broad academic and community participation, reflecting the University’s leading role in supporting sustainable development pathways. The opening ceremony was attended by a distinguished gathering of faculty members, staff, and students, alongside guests representing various academic and community institutions. During the ceremony, the University President announced the commencement of this prominent scientific event, which serves as an important academic platform for promoting a culture of sustainability and enhancing environmental awareness within both the academic community and society at large. The opening program featured the inauguration of several scientific and artistic exhibitions showcasing innovative student projects and creative ideas that contribute to developing sustainable solutions to environmental challenges. In addition, a variety of cultural, artistic, and sports activities were organized, reflecting the integrated nature of the program and the University’s commitment to fostering students’ scientific, creative, and human capacities, thereby promoting a spirit of innovation and teamwork. The week’s activities also included the active participation of the Women’s Affairs Division, as part of the Sustainability Week events launched on April 12, 2026. This participation underscores its role in supporting sustainability-related issues and raising community awareness, particularly with regard to women’s empowerment and their contribution to achieving sustainable development. Future Sustainability Week aims to consolidate the concepts of sustainability and to motivate young talents to present qualitative initiatives that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. It also serves as a scientific platform for the exchange of expertise among researchers and specialists, while reinforcing the role of academic institutions in building a more sustainable future.
