Dr. Musaddiq Maher Abdul Zahra, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Incubator, delivered a workshop on the role of artificial intelligence in improving the quality of healthcare and enhancing diagnostic accuracy. Meanwhile, Eng. Ali Yousif Ibrahim, an engineer at Al-Rimal Company (agents of the German company AGFA), presented a session highlighting labor market requirements, essential practical skills, and investment opportunities in the field of medical technology The forum also included presentations of several distinguished success stories of the college’s graduates, which contributed to motivating students and strengthening professional networking by showcasing real-life post-graduation career paths The forum concluded by emphasizing the importance of developing graduates’ skills, especially in artificial intelligence, strengthening partnerships with specialized companies, and supporting entrepreneurship trends in the healthcare sector, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified professionals capable of meeting future demands

Al-Mustaqbal University Enhances Employment Opportunities through a Specialized Forum

As part of the activities of the “Fourth Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Week 2026,” the Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Division at Al-Mustaqbal University organized the Qualification and Employment Forum titled “Aligning Educational Outcomes with the Requirements of the Sustainable Labor Market: Integration of Roles between Academic Institutions and Local Companies,” under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University This forum was organized as part of the university’s efforts to enhance the alignment of educational outcomes with the rapidly evolving labor market and to strengthen partnerships between academic institutions and both the public and private sectors. It also aims to develop students’ and graduates’ skills in line with sustainable development requirements, with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship as key pillars for building a knowledge-based economy The forum commenced with a speech delivered on behalf of the university presidency by Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, who emphasized the importance of developing future skills and strengthening the integration between education and the labor market The forum featured specialized scientific sessions. The first session addressed the role of the private sector in identifying future skills and enhancing graduates’ readiness for the labor market, with contributions from Consultant Engineer Dr. Uday Hatem Hamza, Managing Director of Energy Experts Company – Babylon, and Professor Dr. Dina Mohammed Raouf, Director of the Entrepreneurship Division, who highlighted the importance of promoting an entrepreneurial culture and its role in creating sustainable job opportunities The second session focused on empowering graduates and building capacities through government and industrial initiatives supporting sustainable employment. Engineer Huda Qasim Khazal, Head of the Graduate Support Division at the General Directorate of Industrial Development – Ministry of Industry and Minerals, reviewed key government programs in this field. Al-Mustaqbal University Launches an Environmental Campaign to Plant Ten Thousand Seedlings Across the Campus

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the university launched a wide tree-planting campaign that covered the university campus and its surrounding areas. During the campaign, ten thousand perennial tree seedlings were planted in a step that reflects the university’s commitment to supporting the National Afforestation Program and promoting the concepts of environmental sustainability while preserving the campus environment The campaign was organized in coordination with the Diwan Affairs Department at the University Presidency, which supervised and followed up on the implementation of the planting activities. This initiative aligns with the university’s vision to expand green spaces and improve the environmental quality within the campus, contributing to the creation of a healthy and suitable educational environment for students and staff This initiative comes as part of the university’s efforts to support environmental programs and contribute to addressing climate change by increasing vegetation cover and reducing the carbon footprint, in addition to enhancing the aesthetic and environmental aspects of the university’s facilities The campaign witnessed active participation from academic leaders, university professors, staff members, and students, particularly students from the Sustainability Ambassadors Initiative, who played a notable role in implementing the tree-planting activities. On the Occasion of National Entrepreneurship Day… The College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University Holds a Scientific Workshop in Cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division on Transforming Scientific Research into a Startup Business

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division at the university, the College of Science organized a scientific workshop entitled “Transforming Scientific Research into a Startup Business in the Fields of Applied Sciences.” This event was held in celebration of the National Entrepreneurship Day The workshop was organized as part of the college’s efforts to support extracurricular activities and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and university staff. It also aimed to encourage participants to utilize research outcomes and transform them into entrepreneurial projects that contribute to community service and support the economy The lecture of the workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Dirgham Ali Abbas Al-Sultani, who addressed several important practical topics, including mechanisms for transforming a research idea into a marketable product or service, strategies for protecting intellectual property, business models and market planning, as well as methods for securing initial funding and building effective teams for startup projects. The lecture also presented applied examples in the fields of applied sciences and provided practical guidance for researchers interested in transforming their research projects into successful startups The workshop was attended by the Assistant Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Latif Hussein, and the Head of the Student Activities Division at the College, Lecturer Dr. Alaa Hadi Shaker, along with a number of faculty members and staff of the College of Science. Launch of a Series of Free Training Courses for Students of the Technical Engineering College at Al-Mustaqbal University

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Engineering College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen, and with the follow-up of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Summer Training Unit and the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the Technical Engineering College have begun implementing a series of free training courses in cooperation with Al-Almas National Company for General Trading This initiative comes within the framework of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to developing students’ skills and strengthening their practical abilities in line with the requirements of the labor market The program witnessed the launch of the first training course, the Board Soldering Course, which targeted students from the Departments of Electrical Engineering Technologies, Computer Engineering Technologies, and Communications Engineering Technologies. The course included practical training aimed at enhancing students’ skills in technical and electronic work, and it received notable engagement from participating students The remaining training courses are scheduled to continue according to the program’s timetable. These courses include specialized training in assembly, inspection, and maintenance, which will contribute to providing students with the necessary practical experience and developing their technical and professional capabilities This initiative comes as part of the university’s efforts to support qualification and practical training programs and to provide applied educational opportunities that help prepare students and qualify them to enter the labor market with competence and distinction
