Al-Mustaqbal University continued to strengthen its international academic presence after Engineer Ali Zwain, Director of the International Rankings Unit at the Department of Scientific Affairs, was selected as a member of the judging committee for the QS Reimagine Education Awards & Conference 2026, scheduled to be held in London, United Kingdom, on December 7–8, 2026 This selection reflects the expertise possessed by Al-Mustaqbal University in the fields of international rankings and higher education quality development, as well as its growing role in supporting academic innovation and expanding engagement with global academic forums The QS Awards are considered among the most prominent international events specialized in advancing higher education and highlighting innovative initiatives that contribute to creating transformative change within academic institutions worldwide
Al-Mustaqbal University advanced its path of Arab academic cooperation by receiving a high-level academic delegation from Mansoura University headed by Sherif Youssef Khater, as part of an official visit aimed at following up on joint postgraduate programs and reviewing the reality of the educational experience hosted at the university The visit included an academic meeting with students enrolled in the postgraduate programs hosted at Al-Mustaqbal University, which include the Master’s programs in Public International Law and Administrative Law, in the presence of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Hassan Shaker Majdy, Mohamed Attia El Bayoumi, and Ammar Al-Husseini, amid distinguished academic interaction from the participating students During the meeting, the President of Mansoura University affirmed that the scientific cooperation between the two universities represents an advanced model of Arab academic integration, praising the efforts exerted by Al-Mustaqbal University in providing a solid educational environment for postgraduate students and supporting joint academic programs in a way that contributes to enhancing the quality of higher education For his part, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University expressed his pride in the strategic partnership with Mansoura University, stressing that this cooperation reflects the university’s orientation toward expanding the horizons of quality higher education within Iraq and strengthening joint Arab academic presence, in addition to providing all scientific and administrative requirements that ensure the success and sustainability of the joint postgraduate programs The visit also witnessed the announcement of a qualitative expansion in the hosted postgraduate programs after obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to host the Master of Business Administration program from the Faculty of Commerce at Mansoura University within the College of Administrative Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University. In addition, the admission plan for the programs of Public International Law, Administrative Law, and Business Administration was increased to twenty students for each program Accordingly, the number of postgraduate programs hosted at Al-Mustaqbal University in cooperation with Universiti Sains Malaysia and Mansoura University has risen to five qualitative programs, in a step that reflects the growing regional confidence in the academic experience offered by the university At the conclusion of his visit, the President of Mansoura University sent a message of appreciation to the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, expressing his gratitude for the warm reception and generous hospitality, affirming that the visit contributed to strengthening academic relations between the two universities and opened new horizons for joint scientific cooperation Professor Sherif Youssef Khater also called on students to continue academic excellence and achieve advanced academic results, as they represent the first cohort of one of the most prominent academic partnership projects between Iraqi and Egyptian universities at the postgraduate level
As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen its research presence and expand engagement with international academic programs, a number of researchers and faculty members from Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the international training workshop organized by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, in cooperation with the European Union and the EU Training Lab initiative, entitled “Unlocking EU Research, Innovation and Initiative Funding Opportunities for Iraqi Researchers within Horizon Europe” The workshop was held online on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, and lasted for three hours, with the participation of specialized European trainers and researchers from various Iraqi universities The workshop aimed to introduce Iraqi researchers to the “Horizon Europe” program, which is considered one of the largest research and innovation funding programs in the European Union. It also highlighted application mechanisms and research opportunities available for Iraqi academic institutions, contributing to the development of researchers’ capabilities and enhancing the participation of Iraqi universities in international research projects The participation of Al-Mustaqbal University researchers reflects the university’s commitment to supporting research activities and expanding international academic cooperation, as well as empowering researchers to benefit from global programs that contribute to improving the quality of scientific research and keeping pace with modern developments in innovation and knowledge
Al-Mustaqbal University outlined the features of the next phase toward transformation into a productive university and sustainable innovation during a strategic meeting held on Sunday, 10/5/2026, at the university presidency. The meeting was chaired by the President of the University, Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the participation of the Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, Tariq Jawad Kazem, and in the presence of the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Mudthar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, alongside directors of research centers, the Continuing Education Center, and the Science and Technology Parks Department. Meanwhile, Mudthar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi pointed to the importance of enhancing integration among different disciplines, particularly in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and energy, which have become key pillars shaping the future of education and scientific research

Al-Mustaqbal University has strengthened its international academic presence with the launch of the first day of a joint training program for its students on Monday at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKU) in the Republic of Türkiye, in a step aimed at developing practical skills and embracing global educational experiences This participation comes as part of an international training program designed to equip students with advanced applied expertise, enhance their competitiveness in the global job market, and expand opportunities for joint scientific research between the two institutions The activities began with a visit by the Al-Mustaqbal University delegation, which included Dr. Amir Najah, Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Hussein Mohammed, and Assistant Lecturer Ali Mazhar. The delegation conveyed the greetings of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. They were received by the President of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan, who emphasized the importance of this partnership in developing practical skills and advancing rigorous scientific research The first day featured a comprehensive field tour across several university facilities, accompanied by Professor Dr. Altgan, Head of the Aeronautical Engineering Department, and Dr. Leyla Akbulat.
