Al-Mustaqbal University Ranks First in Student Activities for 2025–2026

On Sunday, September 13, 2026, Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first in the overall evaluation of student activities for the academic year 2025–2026, according to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority – Student Activities Department. The University also ranked first in artistic activities and first in cultural activities. The evaluation covered the programs and activities carried out by universities during the academic year according to the approved criteria. The results reflect the University's participation in student, artistic, and cultural activities during the academic year 2025–2026.

Al-Mustaqbal University Continues Activities at Baghdad International Book Fair

Al-Mustaqbal University continued its pavilion activities at the 27th Baghdad International Book Fair at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds on Thursday, September 10, 2026. ​Located in Baghdad Hall, the university pavilion focuses on interactive meetings with representatives from regional and international publishing houses and academic institutions, alongside facilitating dialogue and knowledge exchange with researchers and cultural stakeholders. ​These ongoing activities, running through September 12, reinforce the university's role as a Golden Sponsor of the exhibition for the fourth consecutive year.

Al-Mustaqbal University took part in the 27th Baghdad International Book Fair as a Golden Sponsor on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. ​Situated in Baghdad Hall at the exhibition grounds in Al-Mansour, the university's display highlights its academic developments and recent research initiatives. The booth provides direct engagement with attendees and academic representatives through September 12. ​The international exhibition includes participants from numerous publishing entities, cultural organizations, and public sector institutions.

Al-Mustaqbal University Signs Letter of Intent with University of Reading

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, signed a Letter of Intent with the University of Reading, UK. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Iraqi Cultural Counselor, Prof. Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi, alongside an academic delegation from the British university. ​The agreement focuses on establishing dual-degree programs, academic twinning, and providing student scholarships and discounts. It also explores opportunities for joint scientific research and expertise exchange. The event concluded with an exchange of commemorative shields and a field meeting with Iraqi sponsored students and researchers studying at the University of Reading to review their academic progress.

​Al-Mustaqbal University Signs MoU with University of Nottingham

On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, an official delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham, UK. The agreement aims to activate a strategic partnership to develop joint academic programs and research projects. ​The meeting focused on establishing mechanisms for faculty and researcher exchanges, as well as cooperation opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students in pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology. Discussions included reviewing curriculum alignment and educational infrastructure, following Al-Mustaqbal University's School of Pharmacy receiving the American ACPE accreditation. This international agreement is designed to enhance academic collaboration and advance scientific research between both institutions.

​Al-Mustaqbal University President Joins Ministerial Delegation for Academic Tour in Egypt

​On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, joined a Ministry of Higher Education delegation on an academic tour of Egypt. Led by Undersecretary Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Zahid, the visit aimed to strengthen scientific partnerships and academic cooperation between the two countries. ​The delegation met with officials from Al-Azhar and Mansoura universities to discuss joint research and graduate programs, including the Master of Law hosted at Al-Mustaqbal University. They also visited the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education to discuss scientific twinning and ways to improve global university rankings. ​The tour included meetings with Elsevier to explore AI-driven publishing technologies and a visit to "Intilaq" Company for digital transformation.
