rofessor Emeritus Dr. Mujbil Rafiq Hassoun Marjan

He graduated from the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul in 1981, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Sciences. He was among the top ten students in the college. He earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration in 1988 and his PhD in 1991 from Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. He also obtained a Postdoctoral Diploma in Quality in Higher Education from the University of Kassel, Federal Republic of Germany, in 1992.
He worked as a Professor of Business Administration and Head of the Materials Management Department at the Babylon Technical Institute from 1992 to 2002. He also taught postgraduate studies at the Colleges of Administration and Economics at the Universities of Al-Qadisiyah and Karbala.
He was awarded the title of First Professor in 1998. From 1993 to 2003, he worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Materials Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Babylon. During 2004–2005, he served as a faculty member in the College of Engineering, University of Babylon, Department of Materials Engineering.
He founded the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Babylon and served as its Dean from 2005 to 2013. He was granted the title of Full Professor in 2015. Upon his request, he retired in 2017 and was awarded the title of Professor Emeritus in 2018.
He received the Pioneer Professors Award on Iraqi Science Day in 2018. He also worked as a Consultant for Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation at Al-Mustaqbal University. Under his supervision, the college achieved first place among Iraqi private universities and colleges in quality assurance and the Iraqi National Ranking in 2021, 2023, and 2024. He also taught in the Department of Business Administration.
He is a member of the Iraqi Association of Accountants and Auditors, a member of the Materials Logistics Management Association in Germany, and a member of the Purchasing Club in Berlin.
He has published 32 research papers in Iraqi and international journals, participated in numerous Arab and international conferences, and authored several books in the field of Business Administration, particularly in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
