S aif Jamal Mahdi was born in Baghdad, Iraq. He received the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Al-Mamoun University College, Baghdad, Iraq, in 2014, the M.Eng. degree in Communication Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia, in 2019, and the Ph.D. degree in Power Electronics Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Kajang, Malaysia, in 2025. He was a Research Assistant with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), from 2020 to 2024. He is currently a Lecturer with the Department of Electrical Engineering Techniques, College of Engineering and Technology, Al-Mustaqbal University, Hillah, Iraq. His research interests include renewable energy systems, energy storage, energy management systems, optimization algorithms, and power conversion systems.
