Entry Visa to Iraqi Territory
Obtaining the Entry Visa
The (regular) entry visa to Iraqi territory is obtained for the student for a period of one year through the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, in coordination between the university or private college where the student is accepted and the Ministry of Interior, and it is renewed annually.
Border Crossing Notification
After the student obtains the entry visa, a notification of the visa issuance is sent by the Ministry of Interior to all border crossings and airports for the purpose of endorsing it and receiving the regular entry visa.
Travel and Airline Confirmation
The student is required to communicate with the university or private college they are accepted into before booking travel tickets, to verify the approval of the visa issuance to Iraqi territory after the Ministry of Interior's notification is issued, and to determine the airline with confirmation of the endorsed visa issuance at airports and border crossings.
Visa Fee Exemption
The student accepted into the program is exempted from entry visa fees to Iraqi territory.
