International students must prepare the following documents before applying for an Iraqi study visa.
Ensure all documents are translated into Arabic and authenticated by official authorities in your country.
Valid for at least one year from the date of application.
Official letter from Al-Mustaqbal University confirming your acceptance.
Baccalaureate or equivalent, translated and authenticated.
4 white background photos meeting embassy specifications.
Issued by an accredited medical facility with laboratory tests.
Issued by security authorities in your country, diplomatically authenticated.
Bank statement or documented financial guarantee.
Visa Application Stages
Apply for University Admission
Submit your application through Al-Mustaqbal University's electronic admission portal and wait for the official acceptance letter.
Visit the Iraqi Embassy
Apply for a study visa at the Iraqi embassy in your country with all required documents.
Iraqi Ministry of Interior Procedures
After arriving in Iraq, the university follows up with the Ministry of Interior on your behalf to complete residency procedures.
Register at the Residency Directorate
Register your official residency at the Babylon Passport Directorate within 30 days of arrival.
Annual Residency Renewal
Residency is renewed annually by submitting an enrollment certificate from the university and a continuity certificate.
