Under the Patronage of the Prime Minister: Launch of the “Share” Initiative and Al-Mustaqbal University Sustainability Ambassadors Attend the Opening Ceremony

Several faculty members from Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the national initiative launched by the Supreme Council for Youth under the slogan “Youth and Sustainability… Towards a Green Future.” The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, who praised the role of universities and youth initiatives in promoting educational sustainable development and supporting green community-based initiatives.
In his speech, the Prime Minister affirmed the government’s full support for young people, describing their initiatives as promising. He emphasized that investment in education and the environment is an investment in Iraq’s future and commended the role of universities in preparing leaders capable of driving change toward sustainable development.
In a media statement, Assistant Lecturer Tabarak Fadel explained, “This initiative represents a qualitative shift in involving universities in environmental policymaking.” Meanwhile, Assistant Lecturer Zainab Kareem added, “We aim to transform ideas into practical projects that promote sustainability in society.”
Al-Mustaqbal University looks forward to:
1. Strengthening partnerships with government agencies and environmental organizations.
2. Launching training programs for students in the field of sustainability.
3. Actively participating in local and international conferences on climate change.
