On the third day of the Third International Al-Mustaqbal Week for Sustainability Festival (Saturday, April 19, 2025), the Artificial Intelligence Technology Incubator at Al-Mustaqbal University was inaugurated. It is the first AI-focused technology incubator, launched in the presence of a distinguished group of prominent figures.

Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy emphasized the incubator’s role in supporting innovation and scientific research in the field of artificial intelligence, noting that it represents a strategic step toward promoting sustainable development—particularly Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8), which relates to innovation and economic growth.

The incubator also serves as a platform for achieving Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17) by strengthening partnerships across various sectors. Speakers highlighted the importance of involving civil society in these efforts, in line with the directives of the Iraqi Digital Path Council.

This inauguration marks a significant milestone in Iraq’s journey toward a knowledge-based economy, powered by artificial intelligence and digital transformation, with a focus on sustainability and empowering local talent.
