Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering Department at Al-Mustaqbal University College Organizes a Scientific Visit to the Renewable Energy Center in Baghdad

Part of the initiatives that aim to reinforce sustainable energy among students, being the most important segment of society, and in accordance with the vision of the College to resolve the SDGs of the United Nation, the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering Department organized on Saturday 13th February 2021 an applied scientific visit for the fourth years students of the department in question to visit the Renewable Energy Center located on the grounds of Baghdad International Fair. The visit came in response to the invitation submitted by the Ministry of Electricity to the College. This scientific visit mainly aimed to learn about the samples, applications, scientific experiments, motivating students for knowledge acquisition in the field of rationalizing and sustaining energy. It is remarkable to note that the visit was under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Azher M. Abed, Head of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering Department, accompanied by Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Abdul Wahib, and engineer Rasoul Hamad. The visiting delegation was received by Mr. Falah Shakir as a representative to the Center. Mr. Shakir himself volunteered to give a simplified idea about the objectives of the Center. After that, engineer Sally Qusai accompanied the visitors in a field tour, which included visiting all parts of the Center providing them with detailed explanations of the renewable energy applications with the possibility of using them in our daily life. After the tour, a film was shown to the visitors about a city in the Emirate of Dubai, which all its facilities are operated 100% by solar energy. At the end of the visit, the delegation and in the name of the College Deanship, expressed their thanks and gratitude to the management and employees of the Center, wishing them success, progress and prosperity.
