Department of Pathological tests at Al Mustaqbal College organized on Saturday morning a scientific symposium under the title:
“Cell culture biotechnology and applications in research”
Dr. Hamed Naji Al-Kalabi, the founder of the Department of Textile Agriculture at the Faculty of Medicine / University of Babylon, delivered a lecture on the types of cancer cells, their forms and ways of dividing them, he also pointed out to the possibility of the availability of integrated laboratories for early detection of cancer cells within the scientific laboratories of the College in the event of the availability of the necessary equipment.
Dr. Rana Iyad Ghalib, Director of the Center for Nuclear Research, University of Babylon, gave a lecture giving a simple explanation of the flow cytometry system to measure the physical and chemical properties of the cells in the liquid in a live way- One of the most important modern tests in the world for the early detection of cancer cells.
At the end of the seminar, Dr. Ali Al Shaalan, Head of Pathological tests Department, honored Al Kalabi and Ghalib with certificates of appreciation fpr their efforts in providing scientific information.
